Angelina Jolie is more Wanted than Charlize Theron for 'The Tourist'

London: The Hollywood's gorgeous glam girl Angelina Jolie is again in light after being in media for patching up with her father and actor Jon Voight. This time the ravishing Jolie is replacing gorgeous 'Hancock' girl Charlize Theron for a forthcoming flick "The Tourist" in the lead role.

According to the sources, the upcoming flick "The Tourist" is a remake of a French thriller 'Anthony Zimmer'. The director of this flick cast Charlize Theron opposite to "Mission Impossible's" dashing Hollywood actor Tom Cruise for the lead role, but he has also backed off for the flick due to some other reasons.

Since, both the leading actors have backed off from the flick, thus the actress Charlize Theron has been replaced by 'Wanted' Angelina Jolie and Tom Cruise by Terminator Salvations's actor Sam Worthington.

In her forthcoming flick "The Tourist", Angelina Jolie will play the role of a female agent who is seeking for a man who was her boyfriend.

Angelina Jolie to star in 'Gucci' drama

'Titanic' star Leonardo Di Caprio is being approached to play ex-husband to Jolie's onscreen avatar in the movie, reported Variety magazine.

Should the deal go through, the 34-year-old actress is expected to play Patrizia Reggiano, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci who was sentenced to 29 years in jail for plotting Maurizio's murder.

The film, named 'Gucci' and to be directed by Ridley Scott, will center on Gucci and the turnaround he brought to the Gucci empire before he was murdered in front of his Milan apartment in 1995.

Fox 2000, producers of the film, is looking forward to hire a scribe to rewrite the script in hopes that it will recapture the glamorous days of the Gucci family dynasty in the 1970s and '80s.
Filming of the movie is slated to start next year.

Is beauty still a rare gift? Sarah Wilson examines what it means to be beautiful today.

Twenty years ago, we all knew what it meant to be a beautiful woman, in so much as it was a rarified experience. Beautiful women were a select group of Amazonian models with Darwinian proportions, largely interchangeable give or take a mole. There was us over here. And there were the beautiful people (we could, quite literally, name them all on two hands - Cindy, Elle, Claudia, Helena, et al) over there, selling us Tab and night cream and taking turns on magazine covers.

The closest we could get to being one of them was to get a Linda Evangelista feathered crop or to wear whatever lipstick Cindy Crawford was flogging at the time. That's the way things were. And it was a relatively amicable arrangement.

But today, this relationship is messily ambivalent and confused. Being beautiful in 2009 is neither rare nor removed. It's purchasable with cosmetic surgery, spray tans, eyebrow-shaping and bum-lifting. For the first time in history, we can cheat nature and emulate the beautiful people. Who is authentically beautiful? Who can tell? And perfect beauty is a little dull, don't you think, when so many can attain it?

Brad Pitt banished to couch by Angelina Jolie over pot-smoking

"Brad has been adamant that Angie spend time with the family and focus on them with as much passion and energy as she does all her projects," a source said.

"Right after they got to France, Brad found a box of scripts that Angie had said she wanted to read. She and Brad got into a fight over it. Angie stormed out of the room and went into the bedroom."

The argument was reportedly kept away from Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara and the twins, as Pitt made like everything was okay with his kids.

"He played video games with the boys all night and made breakfast for the family in the morning, including fresh grapefruit juice for Angie," said this insider, who appears to have incredible access to the family.

Jolie has also reportedly blamed Jennifer Aniston after discovering that Pitt used to smoke marijuana.

Jolie allegedly told her friends that partner Pitt lied to her when he said that he had stopped smoking the drug.

A source admitted to the National Enquirer: "Ange says it's Jen's fault Brad is still smoking pot, since the bulk of his drug-taking days were when he was with her.

"She's angry and looking for someone to blame, so Jen is always going to be a prime target."

The insider continued: "Angie, feeling she's been totally lied to, is piecing together all the other things Brad's not been truthful to her about and come up with a fairly long list."

Angelina Jolie to Return for Sequel to Wanted?

After Angelina Jolie’s action-packed performance in Wanted, the end of the movie made it seem unlikely she’d return for a sequel. But now director Timur Bekmambetov thinks he’s found a way to make it happen.

Even Angie previously said she didn’t think her character Fox could come back, mostly because, as Bekmambetov tells MTV News, “She was kind of… dead.” But this is a story based on a comic book, where unlikely comebacks reign, and Bekmambetov says he’s got a plan.

“If you remember from the first film, we have a recovery room with the baths of wax,” he explains to MTV News. “We know how to do this, but it’s still tough to do, because the bullet is inside her head.”

“But there has to be a reason for her to come back… and we know the reason,” he added. “I think we found the reason for her to come back.”

Angelina’s return isn’t signed, sealed and delivered yet, but Bekmambetov did reveal that he wants to start making the sequel this winter.

Ther insider adds to Britain's Now magazine: “When she’s at home she just about holds it together, but she stays up listening to the same song over and over and rarely sleeps.”

Angelina Jolie

There have been claims the actress, 33, was left exhausted by a new diet and she was also seen with a cut knee on the set in New York earlier in the making of the film.

Sources close to the production expressed concern that she "could injure herself due to the weight loss" and called into question her insistence on personally performing action scenes.

However she does not appear to have been discouraged and seemed happy to throw herself about on the top of the lorry - secured by safety wires - in the latest shoot on Interstate 787 in Albany, New York State.

In the film, she plays an officer in the Central Intelligence Agency, called Evelyn Salt, who is accused of being a Russian 'sleeper' spy and caught up in an alleged plot to assassinate the US president.

The role was originally going to be played by Tom Cruise, but the part was re-written as a woman to enable Jolie to take the role.

The film, which is being made by Columbia Pictures, is due to be released next year.

Jolie's husband Brad Pitt, 45, and their children have moved from Los Angeles to New York so they can be together during the production.

Jolie's father glad about Kate’s victory

Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight is happy that Kate Winslet has won the Best Actress Oscar.

Kate won the award for her portrayal of a Nazi guard in The Reader , beating Voight’s daughter Angelina Jolie.

“It’s wonderful. I voted for Angie and all the gals deserve to be winners... But Kate is a brilliant actress and she was brilliant in her performance,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying.

“Kate's a great person. She's got her feet on the ground... and it must have been very moving for the people of Britain too,” he added.

Apparently, Voight was not the only person who thought that Kate should win the award.

“It was Kate's night, as Angie had said actually - she said she thought it was gonna be Kate's night and it's wonderful to see,” he stated.

“Ange is a pro, she knows what's going on, she's been there before, she's gotten the award before. She's an experienced person and she knows that it can go any way. All of them have to be prepared... (even) Kate said she was practising to look dignified if she lost,” he added.

Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt plan attack on former bodyguard over book talk

Updated Sunday, April 26th 2009

Angelina Jolie, and her partner, Brad Pitt, are going to battle with a former bodyguard over a possible book he plans to write on working for the pair.

Burly bodyguard Mickey Brett has tangled with some tough customers, but none so tough as his former clients Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Once they entrusted their lives, and those of their children, to Brett. But now that they've learned he's been thinking about revealing their intimacies in a book, the star couple has come down on him with the fury of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith."

Pitt and Jolie, who played married assassins in that movie, have recruited some of the most fearsome libel attorneys in the U.S. and the U.K. to

make sure Brett's lips stay zipped.

Recently we obtained a proposal for a memoir and a TV show, both offering Brett's first-person account of his years guarding the likes of Sandra Bullock,

Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Sly Stallone and Richard Gere.

The main focus of the pitches, though, was Brangelina. Suffice it to say that Brett had fond memories of Jolie, whom he had been protecting since 2001, and less fond recollections of Pitt.

Seeking comment from them, we received a bracing phone call from Marty Singer, the couple's American litigator.

Singer alleged that Brett wasn't a reliable source. In fact, he was a "pathological liar." He said Brett's lies to U.S. Immigration officials here had led to his being barred from entering this country. Singer said that only recently did Pitt and Jolie discover that Brett, who'd claimed he was a British SAS commando, never even served in the military.

Singer noted that in 1993 Brett was questioned in the murder of British tycoon Donald Urquhart, though he was later released. In 2006, Brett was arrested for assaulting a restaurant owner in Namibia. The same year, in India, he was accused of choking a photographer and arrested for roughing up and making racial insults against some parents who were trying to pick

up their kids.

All told, Singer said, Brett had been convicted 11 times of various crimes.

Pitt and Jolie had repeatedly come to Brett's defense. But they apparently came to have doubts about his style of problem-solving.

As for his book and TV proposals, Singer said Brett was bound by a confidentiality agreement. According to Singer, Brett has now stated that he'd never signed off on the pitches and that many of the yarns attributed to him were fabricated by his ghost writer.

Brett's attorneys told us: "Our client disputes what has apparently been said by Mr. Singer, but is not in a position to comment further at this stage."

Brett's ghost writer, Robin McGibbon, insists that he did not embellish the bodyguard's stories.

"Mickey was definitely going to consider a book or TV deal if the offer was good enough," says McGibbon. But at this point, he said, "there's not going to be any book."
